Beer Information

Flensburger Pilsner 4% ABV

From the town of Flensburg situated on the German-Danish border comes Flensburger Pilsner. This is Germany’s most northern brewery.
Five citizens of Flensburg signed the document that set up the Flensburg Brewery on 6th September 1888 and have remained independent ever since. They had found an ideal site, a glacier spring with crystal-clear water for brewing and a way of obtaining the ice needed for the lagering cellars. Beers are brewed in accordance with the German Purity Law. Unusually fresh with a full-bodied taste. A crisp, dry, hoppy pilsner typical of northern Germany.

Camden Pale 4% ABV

Contains loads of delicious Simcoe and Citra hops. Full of inner strength. Lots of Pale Ales are really strong, but this is a drinkable 4%.
Pale Ale is a traditional English style. American brewers make their version of the beer, but with American hops. This Pale is a take on their take on the English one.

Is mild available at the March Hare? The answer is YES!

Hardys and Hansons Dark Mild 3.1% ABV

Mild was once Britain’s most popular beer style because it came to symbolise community and working class culture.  It is enjoying a revival at the March Hare because it is a low strength beer, mildly hopped. Basically a thirst quencher.  It is available in light and dark versions. It is a beer designed to be undemanding, easy drinking.  It had the reputation as an old blokes drink, but not here at the March Hare where our regulars always enjoy a pint or two. Feeling nostalgic?  Try some!

Erdinger Alkoholfrei Weisbrau 0.5% ABVThis image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Erdinger-alkohol-frei-2-268x1024.png

Erdinger Alkoholfrei is brewed under the strict Bavarian Purity Law, which means it is made from only high quality, natural ingredients. This isotonic thirst quencher with the inimitable refreshing taste provides the body with essential nutrients. Folic acid and vitamin B12 reduce fatigue and support the immune system, B12 also promotes energy-yielding metabolism. Just one bottle (0.5l) per day contributes to a healthy nutrition.  I bet you didn’t know that! Although in Germany it is classed as ‘alcohol free’ containing less than 0.5% ABV, it is not alcohol free for the purposes of UK Food Law.
