A search for Dunton on the web shows pictures with the Church and The March Hare. Both are an integral part of the village and it looks good!
The pub has been closed since John and Janice retired at the end of last year. Other villages have lost their pub. We don't want that! It has been registered as an Asset of Community Value. which helps to protect it from demolition or conversion into housing. That gives an opportunity for a community group to acquire and run it. We would have a completely free hand to make decisions about what it offers. What drinks, food, activities, etc.
We are forming a group to explore the possibilities and hopefully put in a bid and we need help and input from as many people as possible. We would have a clean slate to relaunch The March Hare as a new business. This is a big undertaking so we need your help and support. Can we add you to our mailing list and invite you to share your thoughts and wishes?

We are keen to get it reopened! We have invited all of those who have registered an interest in receiving updates about the future plans for the March Hare to a meeting. Some are also offering to get involved in helping to get it open again.
